If you want to feel the island of Pag with all of your senses, you have to try this aromatic cheese. Mediterano is a hard cow’s milk cheese with sage and contains the essence of the island of Pag. Its rocky environment with vegetation that is so deficient but so special, full of aromatic herbs and salt from the Adriatic sea, brought to its pastures during cold winters by a strong wind called bura.
Ingredients: pasteurised cow’s milk, cheese culture, table salt, sage 0.2%, rennet, calcium chloride, lysozyme (from eggs). Minimum 45% fat in dry matter.
